Lavangi

Lavangi  is the Janya Raga of Thodi , the 8th  Melakartha Raga . It can also be considered as the Janya of 15th Melakartharaga, Mayamalavagowla. This raga was created by Sri Balamurali Krishna. Only his  composition is available now in Carnatic. But there are other compsitions available in light and semiclassical genres, in this raga.
